The new TV commercial is featuring a little panda bear traveling on Finnair’s blue-and-white wings from Helsinki-Vantaa airport to New York, on to Paris and from there via the Helsinki Gateway to Asia and the beautiful river scenery of China. At the end, the film reveals that the whole adventure was actually the dream of the little toy panda sitting on the shelf in a child’s room. When the panda wakes up, he gazes out at the starry night sky and sees a Finnair plane among the stars — as he probably does each night. The new TV commercial combines the fairy-tale imagery of the previous corporate image TV commercial, “The reindeer and the star”, with the real world. This is achieved by presenting Finnair’s extensive route network and its Business class, featuring the new lie-flat seats, along with the sympathetic main character, the panda. The focus of the film is on Asia because of its strategic importance for Finnair’s business operations. That is also the reason for choosing a panda as the hero of the film. The TV spot was produced in Finland.
@LegoAir
That is not true. Finnair does not have good prices to Europe.
I’ve never heard a single person that has taken finnair down to the continent.
The reason why people are forced is due to that Finnair is one of the only airlines flying between Sweden and Finland.
Well, which entertainment? The cruises are directed for another group of interest, people that go to Turku or Helsinki and switch boat and go back. Now I’m talking about people that have to take the flight to ex. Vasa.
@Greenapplehill Well, partly true. Finnair has good prices to Asia and europe though. and finns go to sweden by boat because of the entertainment… and the ship lol.
@LegoAir
Yeah maybe it has a better quality but their prices are outrageous!
It’s cheeper to go to Spain than to Finland from Sweden – that is an insult.
SAS is more for people with normal income rather than Finnair which is an airline for rich people. You haven’t maybe given it a thought why all Finns go by boat to Sweden – they don’t have that money to fly because Finnair’s prices are shit. To conclude – prices and availability should also be considered. Therefore SAS is better :p
@Greenapplehill And where are you from? Oh, Sweden!
By the way, Finnair is the best in Northern Europe and is a 4 star airline.
@janu80
Your statement is quite corrupt. And where are you from?
Finland – exactly.
I love Finnair’s commercials but SAS is a better firm.
@jeejeez123123 Ei oo ainakaa vielä
make me smile
lentoperämies markku ensio pekkala finnair
Finnair is a the best gateway to asia, 2 and half hour hop to from uk -helsinki then 9 hours to bangkok.
Ei se mene konkurssiin. Se pidetään hengissä vaikka verorahoilla.
Niin ihana video! Finnair on yksinkertaisesti maailman paras lentoyhtiö!
@jeejeez123123 Yritätkö leikkiä idioottia, vai mikä omassa päässä viiraa finnair ei joudu ainakaa vielä konkkaan, jos on konkan partaalla, pistetään koneen vuokraan vaikkapa jollekin Air Ahmabulazghcrangenlobbysfunnderlopzxraxx nimiselle yhtiölle
Finnair konkurssis jo koht
Finland’s flag with the coat of arms is the state flag and can only be used by government.
nice
I love Finnairs commercials!

“Illaksi kotiin”
Actually the finnish army flag has the lion on it.

That panda is so cute! Ah, i love this commercial.
But, i like also Lufthansa.

Voi että, tuo panda on lutuunen. Se on kans hyvä se finnairin toinen mainos, missä on se poro, joka etsii “vanhempiaan” ja lopuksi lukee, illaksi kotiin.
Finnair on kyllä paras
finnair on paras
Oh I see. The coat of arms, and not the flag. Okay
Yeah, the lion has been used to symbolise courage, ferocity, and royalty in Europe for a long time despite lion being an Asian and African animal
