Where Did The Wto Get The Trading System Rules?

    The WTO was originally setup in 1995 and came out of the GATT (General Agreement on Trade and Tariffs). It now has a number of other agreements that have been added to create the “rules of the system.” Each of these deals with some aspect of trade. For instance, TRIPS deals with Intellectual Property and GATS deals with Services. If you want more general information on the WTO–check Wikipedia.     There’s even a guide there that explains the treaties and the basics.
